INITIAL INTRODUCTION
We are a small company that is built on experience gained in past employment at "British Aerospace" in respective wind tunnel departments. Most of our team are ex-employees of Aerospace and all have at least 5 years experience within the model build industry.
Although we have two distinct sections of design and manufacture we work very closely as a team and all play a part in the design and development of models.

Experiences in all elements of model build are present within the company from the "FEA" analysts required for "CRYOGENIC" testing, to the hands of experience of "CARBON FIBRE" mould manufacture. Experts in these fields we are not but practical model build experience makes us the better choice for this work because we know enough to produce accurate, functional and dependable models.
"NAM" is a company that wants to be used at the beginning of model projects, where the savings in build costs can be better achieved. We are regularly used by companies such as,;-
BAe MiIitary Systems,
BAe Civil Aircraft.
DERA Farnborough,
DARE Bedford,
In the early stages of a proposed test where our experience in testing and the differing types of models can play a major roll in the eventual cost of the entire project. We offer this service totally free of charge, as we see the benefits of sharing our experience gives our potential customers confidence in our actual abilities.
We are regularly asked to assist in the creation of geometric surfaces, and work in partnership with our customers in this roll.
The company has been in existence from "May 1993" and within that time we have been involved in a large number of wind tunnel models and tests for a growing number of companies.
As an example of our current client base I can submit the following for your review,:-
BRITISH AEROSPACE, (MILITARY).
BRITISH AEROSPACE, (CIVIL).
GEC, MARCONI.
DERA, AGENCY OF (MOD).
AIRBUS INTERNATIONAL.
MANCHESTER UNIVERSITY.
CRANFIELD UNIVERSITY
FARNBOROUGH AIRCRAFT COMPANY
PEEK TRAFFIC.
LOWERY CENTRE.
LOCKHEED MARTIN.
AIRCRAFT RESEARCH ASSOCIATION.
EUROPEAN TRANSONIC WIND TUNNELS.
As you can see we are a company well known in the model world, and a company that is to be better known world wide. We not only offer this unique amount of model experience but also offer, practical understanding, general common sense but above all a low cost overhead that allows models to be built and consequently tests undertaken.
QUALITY MANUAL
As you can see, I have
inserted a copy of our current CERTIFICATE OF
ACCREDITATION and have also
inserted our Quality statement. These form the basis of our
quality system and are the backbone of our operations.
In respect to other companies, we actually relish the ISO
9001 procedures we have in operations within the company.
We were determined to create a system that was to our benefit and
to this aim, we feel we have achieved our goal.
The system covers all aspects of model design and manufacture.
From the initial design review to the final model acceptance on
site.
Procurement of materials, components and contractual labour are
all documented and copies logged in the individual files prepared
for all projects, see the project file data sheet.
The project files form the nucleus of the quality reports we
submit with every project completed. The information stored
within these files is essential when a project review is
undertaken and is also useful in future years when a model of
similar specification is required.
As a note, we have model data available for all 7 years of
NAMs model production and have data that was granted
to us from the 10 years I was in charge of model production at
BAe.
Quality is a system and a process that we see as always changing,
and in agreement with this synopsis, we are constantly reviewing
our own system. We are not a company that looks to change for
changes sake but do review our system carefully and regularly
look to our customers for their input.
As an example, DERA Bedford have recently commented
on our STRESS documentation, noting that although the
data is there, it is not in an easily accessible order. We have
taken this comment and have developed a report based on ones
shown to us by DERA and feel that their system is
both informative and easily readable. The result being that we
are in the process of altering our procedure and replacing it.
As stated, we do not go overboard to alter and adjust, but we do strive to have a system that is operational, functional and acceptable to all involved.
