DESIGN.
We have a design, detailing and draughtings
department that comprises of the following main personnel.
Mr DC ROSS, Managing Director, DC Ross is the initial point of
contact for all activities in both the design and manufacturing
sections. He is usually involved in the initial concept of the
model design, and oversees the build programme until completion.
Prior to the opening of "NAM" he was employed by
"BAe Woodford" as HEAD OF MODEL DESIGN AND
MANUFACTURE" and by "BAe Hatfield" as assistant
head. He has had involvement with models being tested in all
"UK" tunnels and has been involved with programmes
using European and American tunnels.
Recently "CRYOGENIC" model design has been undertaken
and this as per all other projects was a complete success.
Mr G. RAYTON, Chief Designer. Mr Rayton was employed by
"BAe" at Hatfield as the chief designer of their wind
tunnel department. When Hatfield closed he moved to
"Avro" and on their reduction in wind tunnel models
moved into the employment of "NAM". Mr Rayton has had
18 years experience in the model making industry and has worked
on projects dealing with all types of tunnels.
There are two other permanent staff both of who have at least 10
years experience in the use of "CAD" systems and also 5
years experience with aircraft.
To cater for times when we need extra personnel we have three
part time designers, two who are EX-model designers from
"Woodford" and one from "Hatfield".
CAPACITY.
As well as a number of drawing boards for hand drawn additions to
existing model drawings, we have the following number of
"CAD" systems.

CAPABILITIES.
We offer a complete package in our design section. The package
could be design only or design and manufacture. We work closely
with the "Aerodynamacist" who generally raise the
specifications, we offer assistance during the initial quotation
period and are available 24 hours per day to answer questions and
queries during the entire build programme.

are a very competent company in the field of designing models for
wind tunnel testing.
We make it our business to ensure that all procedures from both
our customers and our own "Quality System" are
followed.
We have staff that are experts in the field of tunnel testing and
understand general engineering, and are "DESIGNERS" and
not only detailed draughtsmen.
Our policy is to work for our customers, giving them the highest
quality, at an affordable cost, in the best time scale available.
